Field trip risk assessment details - mid-conference and post-conference field trips: please read both documents
What: Five days of inspiring discussions, posters, fieldtrips and socials, including two half-day mid-conference fieldtrips to Proterozoic gneisses of the Leeuwin Block (field trip leader: Nick Timms, Curtin University), and a day trip to the world-class Greenbushes lithium pegmatite mine (field trip leader: Tm Ivanic, GSWA). New: PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS
Transport: Bus transport to and from the venue from Perth is available - leaving 2 pm, one bus from the airport, one from CSIRO in Kensington. Email for details.
Early Bird Registration (until 6pm 15th September 2022, after this regular registration costs will apply):
GSA members incl. GST: Students - $290, regular - $630

Registration includes: 4 days access to the live conference at Caves House (Monday-Thursday) including two half-day field trips to the Leeuwin Complex outcrops, and one day field trip to Greenbushes Li mine. Bus from Perth to Yallingup on Sunday afternoon (6th Nov, approx 12 pm), and back to Perth Friday after the post-conference fieldtrip (11th Nov, time TBC) via geological stops in the South West Terrain, 4 days lunch + morning & afternoon teas at the conference. NOT included in registration: Conference dinner after one of the mid-conference fieldtrips (location and ticketing TBC)
Student Travel Grants: can be applied for through the GeoConferences JH Lord travel grants, available to both WA and interstate students, further info and application instructions HERE

Historic Caves House is one of the gems of the South West. It has excellent accommodation ranging from hotel rooms to kitchen apartments, conference rates for limited rooms apply, please phone directly to Caves House (08) 9750 1888 or click here for availability. There are many other options in Yallingup to suit every budget, including Caves Caravan Park, Yallingup Beach Resort, and Seashells hotel Yallingup.
